Sweeping Chimneys was an arduous task and was by no rule to be d iodine by half-size children. William Blakes reception to the condition of the children who not bad(p)ed these dark, polluted, dingy and smelly chimneys are sympathetic and poignant. In both his poems titled The Chimney Sweeper, Blake expounds on the horrible conditions these children experience, one that eventually leads to death. Blake writes that death is in occurrence the only solace low-down children who swept chimneys had. Using techniques such as diction, sacred allusions, closure, concrete interprets and imagery, Blake intends the heartbreaking fashion of the chimney pass overers in both his poems.
